Goatville Jam is a monthly gathering of pickers and vocalists interested in playing old country music. The group meets on the first Thursday each month in the auditorium of the Clarkston Community Center. Tune-up starts at 6:30pm, jam runs 7pm-9pm. If you are interested in joining Goatville Jam, please contact Wade Medlock at 404-501-0950 or

. We collect a small donation from each musician and audience member for the CCC.To join Goatville Jam, sign up or sign in to www.yahoo.com. The Yahoo website contains chord and lyric sheets for dozens of songs performed at the jam. We have enjoyed various combinations of guitar, banjo, hammered dulcimer, bass, mandolin, steel guitar, autoharp and vocals. Bring your favorite pickin' chair, if you prefer. Otherwise, the Community Center provides padded-seat folding chairs. We'll take time to help new pickers learn the songs... then trade leads around the room. If you prefer just to strum rhythm, that's fine, too. Teach us your stuff: feel free to bring 10 copies of lead sheets to some of your favorite country, folk or bluegrass songs to share, and we'll give them a try. Acoustics and electrics (at low volume) allowed. Kindly do not invite any additional musicians without checking with Wade first. You'll receive a monthly notice of the date of the next Goatville Jam. If we don't get an RSVP quorum, jam members will receive a cancellation notice.
